The Folgate Partnership has acquired Milton Keynes-based DPR Holdings and Yorkshire-based RBR Insurance Brokers.
DPR claims to be one of the largest brokers in the Home Counties and has a gross written premium of £17m. RBR controls over £9m in gross written premium.
DPR will be retained, and its staff will continue to be led by Chairman Budge Rogers OBE.
Folgate claims the RBR acquisition will strengthen its presence in the region.
The combined operation will control premiums in the region of £40m, creating the largest hub in the Folgate network.
The current staff will be retained and RBR's managing director, Mark Minton, will take on the role of managing director.
