Two former Alexander Forbes brokers have established Lamasz Hettle Risk Consulting.
Adrian Lamasz and Jon Hettle said the new company had been specifically designed to encourage smaller brokers, insurance professionals and teams to join the company.
Hettle said market consolidation and price competition had accelerated pressure for brokers to sell up.
