Martin Mathieson, a former founder and managing partner of QuestGates, has established a new specialist adjusting business, focusing on liability adjusting and claims management services.

Mathieson, director of claims for Mathieson-Ingham said: "A number of established players have formed bolt-on liability units with varied success and not always meeting the needs and requirements of the insurance industry.
During recent years, this has fuelled an increasing debate over the value provided by some adjusters.

"In our view, there needs to be a re-injection of passion for both claims investigation and management services."

Mathieson-Ingham said it had already been successful in attracting contract wins, and was recently appointed in relation to a £1.5m plus property liability case.

Mathieson added: "Our regional teams provide comprehensive national coverage. However, we make no apology for not been the largest adjuster in the UK. Indeed we consider this to be a positive strength; we are large enough to handle FTSE 100 corporations, but are small enough to care and deliver a personal, reliable and tailored service."
