FirstAssist, the healthcare business founded by a management buyout from Royal & SunAlliance, has been appointed as the health partner for banking group HBOS.
Steve Wood, First Assist managing director, said: "Securing a major contract with such a blue chip partner as HBOS is a fantastic result for us so early in our development as a new company.
"We are now working with HBOS to develop healthcare product offerings which will deliver real value to their customers. The first phase of this focuses on selling personal accident cover to Halifax customers via our outbound call centre at Plymouth."
