Fortis Insurance has appointed Robert Smale as its claims director. Prior to the appointment, Smale was director of claims operations for Norwich Union.
Based in Fortis' Eastleigh office, Smale will have responsibility for the ongoing development of its in-house personal and commercial claims department.
Smale will focus on increasing performance in customer service, management information and developing future strategy.
