Fortis UK has revealed it achieved 12.8% growth in the third quarter, with its gross written premiums increasing to £388m.
Despite the recent downturn in the bankassurance group's continental performance, the UK arm enjoyed a 7.8% upturn in its motor premiums to £287m.
Commercial premiums also rose 83% from £10.1m in 2001 to £18.6m this year. During the same period household premiums increased by 32% to £62m.
CEO Barry Smith said: "I am absolutely delighted with the continued support we are getting from our brokers and intermediaries."
