Specialist insurance intermediary Fresh! Insurance has launched the first in a line of specialist motor insurance products - Ladybird Insurance.

Ladybird is aimed specifically at women between the ages of 17 and 35, recognising that women are on the whole a better risk than men.

Through its panel of insurers of Lloyd's syndicates including Norwich Union, Fortis, Highway and Corinthian, Ladybird said its female customers get the most competitive deals on their motor insurance.

Director of Fresh! Insurance Lisa McPherson said: "We are delighted with the success we have achieved so far. In a short period of time we have built solid foundations for Fresh! and with the launch of Ladybird we have attained our first goal, within our target time frame. With more new specialist products on the horizon, this is a really exciting time for Fresh!"
