The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has reduced its initial general insurance levy by £33m.

The FSCS said it has taken into account the “substantial recovery” expected from the Kwelm estate to reduce the levy to £127.7m.

It said the levy on general insurers would now stand at £45m.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
