FUEDI, the Federation of European Loss Adjusting Experts, has offered its recently formed FUEDI catastrophe action group to help Portuguese loss adjusters deal with the devastation caused by the huge fires in Portugal.

Marco Cincotti, the president of FUEDI, said in a statement: "We are willing to assist, help and eventually intervene in association with the Portuguese Loss Adjusting Association for the best and most rapid formulation of the assessment of the damages, following the emergency that our Portuguese colleagues are dealing with."

FUEDI's membership consists of leading national associations of independent loss adjusters in most European countries.

Founded in Paris in 1968, it aims to provide insurers with an expert loss adjusting service, ensure compliance with a strict code of conduct and promote the loss adjusting profession through high standards of training and mutually recognised qualifications.
