Mark Wookey lands new role at GAB

GAB Robins’ has appointed Mark Wookey as its first casualty operations manager.

Wookey, who joins the company from Merlin Claims Services where he was southern regional liability manager, will be responsible for all operational management directly aligned to the continual improvement of the service delivered to GAB Robins’ clients.

Kim Alcock, casualty director, said: “GAB Robins has a clear and ongoing commitment to investing in the growth of the casualty service line. We are building an experienced team focused on customer service that is gaining increasing interest from clients and attracting high profile industry talent such as Mark.

“We believe our clear service-orientated approach gives us a strong position in a market where many are losing focus on clients’ needs. This new role has come as a direct result of the success of this strategy.”

GAB said it will be announcing further senior appointments in its casualty division shortly.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
