Loss adjuster GAB Robins has posted better-than-expected growth levels for its liability division during 2002.

The company said it achieved 15% growth against a target of 12% during 2002. Total annual income for liability business in 2002 was in excess of £6.3m, against £5.4m in 2001.

Against its improved performance, GAB Robins revealed several forthcoming recruitments. Iain Wishlade, currently head office claims superintendent at NFU Mutual, will join GAB Robins in April as manager of the central region.

-Neil Patterson currently at Cunningham Lindsey will join GAB Robins' Manchester office. Meanwhile Garry Sheering, currently at Eversheds, is to join GAB Robins' liability team in Leeds.

UK liability director John Heaney, , said: "For 2003, initiatives around life-cycle reduction, continuous process improvement and technical quality of service remain at the forefront of GAB Robins development plans.

"In recent weeks, Tony Wadey has been appointed as UK liability operations director and Jeff Stagg has been confirmed as UK liability technical director to ensure the delivery of these ambitious targets."
