Loss adjuster GAB Robins is launching an initiative to assist SMEs with business continuity planning.

Business Continuity Services will provide businesses with a three-year plan and continuous consultation. It will cost £2800.

The service has been set up in partnership with business continuity consultancy Survive.

A spokeswoman for GAB Robins said that while major corporates have business continuity plans, SMEs with limited resources do not have them.

"They do not realise the importance of business continuity planning until after the event," she said.

The initiative is currently being piloted with key brokers in the South East of England.
