Insurer overhauls back office IT system

Gibraltar-based Casualty & General Insurance Company (Europe) has rebranded as CGICE.

The liability insurer, which opened a London office last month, said the decision to rebrand was heavily influenced by brokers.

CGICE has overhauled its website and revamped its back office IT system.

CGICE chief executive Danny Gibson said: “As so many brokers were calling us CGICE – and that’s also our website domain – it seemed sensible to use that as our trading name. If it works for brokers, then it works for us.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
