Big Gig Weekend promoter gets InsureandGo swine flu cover

InsureandGo is providing £1m of cover for opera singer Katherine Jenkins, boy band Boyzone, Britain’s Got Talent dance troop Diversity and singer-songwriter James Morrison against getting swine flu, Wales on Sunday reports

Kevin Newton, promoter of September’s Big Gig Weekend in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, part of the Royal Bath and West Show, arranged the cover.

Perry Wilson, from InsureandGo, said: “Obviously, if one of the acts is a no show, the promoters stand to lose quite a lot of money as ticket-holders could demand their money back.

“This is the first time that a live concert or performance has been provided with cover against swine flu, and we’re very happy to provide the cover.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
