CJ Coleman & Company has announced the appointment of Glenn Watson.

Watson joins former colleagues David Merry and Ben Coleman, to continue the expansion of the company's property division. He joins from Arthur J Gallagher.

Marsh
Marsh has appointed Nigel Bartlett as a sales professional in its Birmingham office.

Bartlett will help direct Marsh's sales strategy in the Birmingham area.

He has 18 years' insurance experience and joins Marsh from Willis, where he was the regional sales director for the company's northern region.

Oval
Greg Spiteri has been appoint-ed business development director at Oval.

Spiteri has more than 18 years' experience in the property side of insurance broking. He will be responsible for developing risk solutions for UK property clients.

Spiteri joins from Ascent Insurance Brokers.

Cogent
Cogent Resources has appointed Dermot Flood to reinforce the growth of its treaty and facultative reinsurance business.

Flood has 28 years' experience in the non-marine reinsurance market.

Bennetts
Mark Fells has been appointed as associate director, market-ing, at Bennetts.

He will be responsible for driving forward Bennetts' brand and marketing strategy.

Fells joins from the Tussauds Group.

Brit
Brit Insurance has appointed Richard Gaunt to its contin-gency underwriting team.

Gaunt joins after 10 years at Markel International, where he was contingency underwriter.

He is a leading underwriter in weather photoshoot and statistical prize indemnity.

Amlin
Amlin has appointed Steve McMurray as head of finance, reporting to group finance director, Richard Hextall.

McMurray was previously chief financial accountant at the Bank of England.

DLA Piper has announced the appointment of marine insurance specialist David McKie, who joins as a partner.

He was previously a partner at Elborne Mitchell.

McKie specialises in liability, energy, hull and cargo insurance and shipping and international trade dispute resolution.

AMG
AMG has appointed Toby Knight as regional man-ager/associate director.

He will head up AMG's Crawley office, reporting directly to Russell Crewe, director of operations.

Knight will be responsible for developing new and existing business in his designated area.

AMG has also announced the appointment of Gary Hemsley as new business support manager/associate director.

He will provide operational and client relations support to AMG's management team.

Prior to joining AMG, Hemsley worked for Cunning-ham Lindsey as an adjuster.

Tony Easter has been appointed regional manager.

He will head up AMG's Bury St Edmunds office and will report directly to Russell Crewe, director of operations.

Crawford & Co
Crawford & Company has appointed Charlotte von Krogh as operations manager, CEMEA (Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa).

She also joins Crawford's executive committee for the EMEA region.

Krogh will be responsible for spreading operational best practice across CEMEA and coordinating service delivery.

Crawford has also announced appointments to its technical services team.

Carolyn Steeper joins the company's global technical services group, to work on large business interruption claims.

Chris Burrows joins the corporate and major incident team, based in Watford.

Burrows previously worked for Cunninghams and Wood-gate & Clark.

In his role as a senior adjuster, he will initially cover the South East and later assist in parts of the Midlands.

Only Insurance
The Only Group has appointed two new business development managers.

Ian Durrell and James McKay have joined the group's insurance division OnlyInsurance.co.uk.

They will be responsible for building partnerships with key online brands and managing relationships for the home, life, motor and travel insurance markets.

Durrell previously worked as an independent business development consultant.

McKay has experience in new business roles, working for stockbrokers, financial advisers and The Daily Telegraph.

Munters
Munters has promoted Clare Bye to vice president of human resources.

Bye joined Munters in 2004 and will continue to maintain responsibility for the UK and Ireland while widening her HR role to support local HR teams around the world.

Prior to joining Munters, Bye held a senior HR position with the RAC.
