MoscropsKevin Gore and David Copeman have joined the team at Bury based insurance broker Moscrop Robinson & Chadwick.Gore, who joined the company as a commercial insurance broker, previously worked at Heath Lambert in Manch-ester for more than 30 years.Copeman joined the company as a commercial account executive after working in insurance for the AMP Group for the past six years.Bridge Insurance BrokersBridge Insurance Brokers has appointed Jago Ryan to its corporate development team.Ryan, who has more than eight years' experience in the insurance industry, previously worked as a commercial account executive. OxygenTwo senior executives from Aon will join Oxygen's Lloyd's accredited broking operation, Oxygen Insurance Brokers. Craig Kingaby, formerly head of international property, energy and casualty at Aon Global Client Solutions (AGCS), and Steve Carr, who was the AGCS worldwide placements senior market strategist, will both join Oxygen's first broking team.The company's focus will be on the insurance needs of clients in specialist sectors including construction, power, onshore energy, mining, forest products, steel, telecoms, transportation and technology.Quest PartnershipThe Quest Partnership has appointed Mark Gately as managing associate partner.Gately has headed the firm's professional indemnity department for the past three years and has extensive experience in all aspects of liability claims and handling.He was made an associate partner in November 2005.While heading the professional indemnity unit, Gately will continue to handle claims for a number of insurers. Cooper Gay GroupCooper Gay Group (London) and Cooper Gay & Cashman (Minneapolis) has appointed Teresa Finkes as a vice president.Finkes began her reinsurance career at Fremont Re in San Francisco in 1980.Prior to joining Cooper Gay & Cashman, she spent 15 years at EW Blanch Company (now Benfield ), Minneapolis, where she served as a vice president focusing on multi-line regional insurers and underwriting managers.InsurerXL InsuranceXL Capital's XL Insurance operation has made changes to its UK office.Donal Kelly, who has been with the XL group for six years, has been appointed country manager and deputy chief operating officer for the UK and Ireland. He replaces Eileen McCusker, who is now chief operating officer for the UK and Ireland.McCusker will retain her management responsibility for the Scandinavia region.Allianz CornhillAngharad Davies has joined Allianz Cornhill Legal Protection as a Lawphone adviser.Davies will provide customers with legal advice on issues such as employment law, disputes involving neighbours, consumers or contracts, and criminal prosecutions.Event manager and controller, Rachel Stoneman, has also joined the Allianz Cornhill team as a before-the -event senior claims handler.Her responsibilities will include assisting in project works and dealing with claims covered under the legal expenses insurance section of family and motor policies.Cobra UnderwritingCobra Underwriting Agencies has appointed Frank Such as its underwriting manager.Such has been underwriting for 32 years and has held senior management positions both at Lombard Zenith and St Paul Traveler's Insurance. Zenith ServicesRichard Perry is Zenith Services UK's new claims supplier strategy manager.Perry will be responsible for managing, developing and implementing best practice claims procurement processes.He will also lead new initiatives to improve supplier cost and quality controls and reduce claims leakage. LegalAddleshaw GoddardAddleshaw Goddard has appointed a City-based corporate partner to strengthen its capability in the non-contentious insurance sector. Ivor Edwards joins the firm's corporate division after five years with Norton Rose, having previously worked in the insurance industry. Edwards has a strong reputation in the London insurance market with particular knowledge of Lloyd's.OtherCMGLCMGL, an independent claims management and insurance services provider, has appointed Dr Cees Schrauwers as its non-executive chairman.Schrauwers has more than 30 years' experience in the insurance industry and is currently chairman of Alio, Drive Asset UK. He has held various non- executive positions in the insurance industry, including Munich Re UK and Canopius Managing Agents.MedisureMedisure, the healthcare programme management arm of Marsh, has appointed Pippa Donovan as public sector relationship director. Donovan will be responsible for developing relationships with prospective new public sector clients and introducing them to Medisure's range of health risk management services.ProfileDavies LaveryGraham Dickinson joins Davies Lavery this month to lead its catastrophic injury team.Dickinson, who was ranked as a pre-eminent defendant personal injury lawyer by both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 publications, joins the firm after turning around the fortunes of Barlow Lyde & Gilbert's general insurance practice.Dickinson has acted for a range of insurers, reinsurers, self-insured, corporates, plus local and national bodies.He has led many high profile litigation cases, including the successful defence in the landmark Court of Appeal case, Halsey v Milton Keynes NHS Trust (2004).He received offers from several leading City firms before choosing the Davies Lavery position.
