Allianz Cornhill
Allianz Cornhill Commercial has appointed GavinDollings as casualty manager.

Dollings previously worked for Accenture's insurance consulting practice specialising in underwriting and claims change programmes.

In Allianz Cornhill's finance division, Paul Rowcliffe has been appointed operational risk manager.

His responsibilities will include operational risk management, operational loss reporting and Sarbanes Oxley Act compliance.

Shirley Watkins has joined the Allianz Cornhill Legal Protection team as a legal adviser for Lawphone.

She will provide customers with legal advice on issues such as inheritance law and marital, holiday or boundary disputes.

Arch Europe
Arch Insurance Company (Europe) has appointed Paul Robotham as chief financial officer.

He has also been made a director and senior vice president of the company.

Assurant Solutions
Assurant Solutions is strengthening its UK sales and marketing team with the appointment of Sharon Gerrard as marketing communications manager.

Gerrard previously worked as Assurant Solutions' international marketing communications manager.

Fusion Insurance
Fusion Insurance has appointed Ian Jolly and Ben Robins as claims negotiators based in London.

Jolly joins from Gallagher Bassett International, where he had worked since 2003.

Before that, he worked at Cox Claims Management.

Robins joins Fusion Insurance from NIG, where he worked as a commercial claims handler. Prior to that he was at Royal & Sun Alliance.

L&E Title Insurance
London & European (L&E) Title Insurance has appointed Christopher Taylor as its chief executive. Taylor joined L&E in 2000.

Alan Smith has resigned as managing director to pursue an acquisition opportunity.

Broker

Erinaceous Group
Simon Millar has joined CadoganHanoverPark, part of the property services firm Erinaceous Group, as business development director.

Millar was previously a Director of ICP Insurance Consultants (a division of Lee Baron), regional manager for Reich Insurance Brokers and insurance manager at Great Portland Estates.

Chesterfield Group
The Chesterfield Group, a Lloyd's independent broker, has appointed Mark Burbidge to manage the development and placement of structured insurance and reinsurance products.

Burbidge has previously held senior positions in both underwriting and broking companies and has worked as a consultant to many leading organisations in the London market.

Acumus
Acumus Insurance Solutions has appointed Chris Isaacs as its business development director.

Previously senior business development manager at Europ Assistance, Isaacs has more than 24 years' experience in the insurance industry.

The company has also recruited Lee Jones as sales manager. Jones has 23 years' experience in the travel industry.

Cobra Network
The Cobra Network has appointed David Truman to the new role of business schemes and broker development manager.

He will develop bespoke schemes for Cobra Network members and be responsible for member relationships and broker development in the South and South West.

Truman will also assist in new member recruitment.

Legal

Barlow Lyde & Gilbert
Kevin Bitmead has been appointed head of general insurance at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert (BLG).

He takes over from Graham Dickinson, who is leaving the firm to seek new challenges.

Bitmead, who has been with BLG for 21 years, specialises in employers' liability, public liability, clinical negligence and catastrophic motor work. He is the firm's lead partner in its work for the NHS Litigation Authority.

Legal Insurance Management
Legal Insurance Management has appointed Emma Porter as claims manager.

She joins the company having worked as company secretary and legal manager at a group of training companies for the past six years.

Clyde & Co
Clyde & Co has bolstered its insurance practice with the appointment of partners Manoj Vaghela and Lisa Payne-Lawrey, and two assistants from Kennedy's.

Other partner appointments include: Graeme Baird, who joined the insurance practice late last month; Siva Subramaniam and Philip Perrotta, who have recently joined the aviation finance group.

The team's core business areas are product liability and general commercial litigation, international insurance arbitration, complex insurance, and reinsurance disputes and professional indemnity.

Davies Arnold Coope
Davies Arnold Cooper has appointed Luis Rufilanc as a new partner. He will join the firm's Madrid office.

Other

Medisure
Medisure has appointed Pippa Donovan as public sector relationship director. She will be responsible for developing relationships with prospective new public sector clients and introducing them to Medisure's growing range of health risk management services.

Originally a clinical therapist in the NHS, Donovan has 10 years' experience in healthcare.

Profile

Concordia Consultancy
Adam Humphrey says he is "rolling up his sleeves and getting on with the job" as a senior consultant at Concordia Consultancy.

Humphrey, who has nine years' experience in the claims and dispute resolution field, joined the Concordia team on 13 February.

His role at the insurance consultancy and chartered loss adjusting firm will focus on loss adjusting and mediation.

The chartered insurance practitioner spent the past seven years working as a loss adjuster at Bateman Chapman, a subsidiary of CTC-Services.

He has also acted for London and internationally-based principals on a range of energy and construction losses and disputes.

He says the move to Concordia is a big change for him as it is a much smaller firm, but he is looking forward to developing the business, particularly in the UK and Scandinavia.

As well as gaining his law degree and a post-graduate diploma in legal practice, Humphrey has a master's degree in management and is a qualified associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

His next big challenge will be completing both the London and Edinburgh marathons.

"I'm fitting work around my training," he says.
