Fenton
Fenton Insurance Solutions has appointed Vicky Godliman as a commercial account handler.

Godliman joins from Aioi, where she was a senior underwriting and claims technician in the Norwich office.

THB
THB has appointed Clive Williams as its first non-executive chairman.

Williams takes over the chairman's role on 15 July from Vic Thompson, THB's chairman and chief executive. Thompson will remain in the role of chief executive.

Williams was previously UK chief executive of IT services and consulting firm Cap Gemini.

Alliance
Alliance has promoted Kevin Bonner to associate director to manage its growing book of large London clients.

Bonner joined Alliance five months ago as a senior account executive.

Technology

SunGard Sherwood
Bart Patrick has joined insurance technology specialist SunGard Sherwood Systems as global reinsurance product manager.

Patrick, who will be responsible for the sales and marketing of SunGard's ProCede reinsurance solution, joins from CSC, where he was senior consultant.

Intech Solutions
Brian Kitchen and John Hopkins have joined Intech as data conversion analyst and senior project manager respectively.

Kitchen was previously a system programmer at Symphony Group and Hopkins previously ran Tyco International's projects office.

CII
The CII has appointed Lee Gladwell to the new post of group marketing and sales director.

Gladwell, who will assume his role on 1 September, is currently business development director at Capita.

Cega
Medical assistance and travel claims specialist Cega has appointed Neil Heasman as claims manager responsible for overseeing the Norwich Union account. He joins from Groupama in Port Solent, where he was household claims manager.

Martin Howe and Clive Beaumont have also joined as group training manager and IT manager respectively. Howe previously worked at Bennington Training Services delivering public sector contracts and Beaumont was technical infrastructure manager at Geoffrey Osborne.

Axiom
Axiom Consulting has appointed Peter Greenslade as financial director.

Greenslade has previously held senior positions at GrandMet (now Diageo), ICL and energy brokers Spectron.

Lane Clark & Peacock
Actuary and consultant Lane Clark & Peacock has appointed James Orr as a partner within its general insurance practice.

Orr brings five years' experience of risk modelling at Lloyd's to the role, most recently as loss modelling team manager within its risk management division.

Weightmans
Weightmans has appointed Carys Oatham as an associate partner within its public sector division.

Oatham, who joins from Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, specialises in subrogated recovery claims, a new area for Weightmans' public sector team. She will be based at the firm's London office.

John Hodson
Cooper Gay has appointed John Hodson as a non-executive director responsible for assisting and support the company's board in driving its expansion plans forward.

Hodson was previously chief executive at Singer & Friedlander, where he worked for almost 40 years.

He has held a number of non-executive directorships in the financial services industry, including SVB Holdings, Scandinavian Investment Bank and D Carnegie & Co AB.

He is currently non-executive chairman of UBC Media Group and non-executive director of Dominos Pizza.

Cooper Gay chief executive Toby Esser said: "John's excellent track record and valuable experience will be a real asset to the board in strategically guiding the group's ongoing expansion plans."

Hodson is a keen tennis and croquet player. He enjoys spending time with his family, in particular his 18-month-old grandson, and also enjoys overseas travel.
