Kallender Jeffries
Bath-based risk and insurance broker Kallender Jeffries has appointed Ewan Watson as head of sales and marketing.

Watson previously worked for 11 years at Marsh.

UIB
United Insurance Brokers (UIB) has appointed David P Trezies as executive chairman of UIB Holdings.

Trezies succeeds previous chairman Dr Mounir Kabban, who will now become president of UIB Holdings.

Trezies will also replace Chris Bishop as chairman of UIB, the Lloyd's broking arm of the UIB group. Bishop will continue to serve as a non-executive director.

Trezies was previously chairman of Marsh UK until his retirement in 2002.

RFIB
Sarah Fairclough and Mike Butler have joined RFIB, following the firm's acquisition of Service Insurance Solutions, a provider of insurance products aimed specifically at the armed forces.

Fairclough and Butler will continue in their previous respective roles of managing director and product development consultant.

FMW Risk Services
Chelmsford-based brokers FMW Risk Services has appointed Lewis Smith as account handler in its property team.

Smith was previously a commercial underwriter at New India.

Heath Lamber
Heath Lambert Group has appointed Michael Haynes as managing director of its operations in Hong Kong.

Haynes was previously managing director at Euler Hermes Credit Underwriters, where he established a Hong Kong operation.

Insurer

Underwriting Risk Service
Underwriting Risk Services, the yachting, marine trades and fine art insurer, has promoted Annabelle Oakley to client relationship manager.

Oakley has been at the firm since 1995, and was previously a yacht underwriter.

MC
MCE has appointed Claire Webb as financial controller.

Webb previously worked at Christian Salvesen UK.

Hisco
Ross Dingwall will head up Hiscox's new Colchester office, which will handle specialty commercial and private client business from brokers.

Dingwall previously managed Hiscox's art and private client division in Scotland and Ireland.

QBE
QBE has appointed Jeremy Hughes as portfolio manager of its recently expanded trade credit team in London, which now handles a full range of credit and surety products.

FirstAssis
FirstAssist has appointed Martin Totty in the new role of group commercial director.

Totty joins from United Biscuits, where he was UK sales director.

Mark Howard has also recently joined the firm as group rehabilitation director.

The FSA has appointed Kathleen Reeves as human resources director.

Reeves was previously HR director at Direct Line.

Sectorne
Sectornet has promoted Ian Gibbard to business development manager. His responsibilities will include managing Sectornet's relations with insurers and with Polaris on the Imarket initiative.

Gibbard joined the firm in July 2003 as an account manager.

Victor Rae-Reeve
Law firm Clyde & Co has strengthened its transportation insurance team in London with the appointment of Victor Rae-Reeves as partner.

Previously a partner at Halliwells, Rae-Reeves is a market leader in railway law. He has worked on a number of high profile cases including the Ladbroke Grove rail crash.

He also specialises in employers' liability and professional negligence cases, including the recent asbestos/pleural plaques litigation.

Rae-Reeves said of Clyde & Co: "Its strength, depth and reputation in both the insurance and transportation industries is ideal for me and the work that I do. I look forward to the future with great optimism."

Rae-Reeves is well known in Spain, where he is visiting lecturer on international law at the University of Barcelona.

His hobbies include playing bridge and philosophy classes. He is also a keen cyclist and enjoys international cinema and travel.
