Stanmore Insurance Brokers in Manchester has promoted Janet Ferguson to head its commercial insurance department.

Heath Lambert
Heath Lambert has appointed the following personnel to its property portfolio team: Doug Bell and Mike Etches both join from Willis as client servicing director and broking technical director respectively. Graham White and John Dunn join the team as senior account executives and Ann Monahan as operations director. All three transfer to the property portfolio from within Heath Lambert. David Rudman, Mark Slater and Steve Maggs have also been appointed to head the business development activities of the portfolio's North, Midlands and South regional operations respectively. RK Carvill
Ron Carlier has resigned as chief executive at RK Carvill, and will be replaced by David Thomas, subject to FSA approval. Co-founder and chairman Rory Carvill will now become executive chairman. Insurers

HCC Insurance Holdings
CC Insurance Holdings has appointed John Molbeck as a director the company. Molbeck has been in the insurance industry for nearly 30 years, most recently retiring as the chief executive of Jardine Lloyd Thompson.

Impact Underwriting
Impact has appointed Joanne Boyne as underwriter. Boyne is from Australia and previously worked as senior underwriter and marketing manager at Accident & Health International Underwriting. GE Insurance Solutions GE Insurance Solutions has appointed Hubert Oeckl to lead its aviation excess of loss treaty team. Oeckl rejoins GE after five years at Munich Re.

Aspen Insurance
Aspen Insurance UK has appointed David Whiter in the new position of senior underwriter for aviation insurance, heading up the aviation team in London. Whiter joins from XL Capital.

Goodhealth Worldwide
Goodhealth Worldwide has promoted Andrew Apps to managing director of international healthcare insurance in Europe. The company also promoted Derry Andrews to managing director of the UK health insurance operation, both based in London. Apps was previously Goodhealth's sales and marketing director for Europe and Andrews was UK director of PMI.

Aviva
Aviva appointed former ABI director general Mary Francis as a non-executive director with effect from 1 October.

Europ Assistance
Chris Reynolds has been appointed as commercial director and to the board of Europ Assistance Holdings. Reynolds was previously sales director at Expotel. Other Aascent
Stephen Bottoms has joined Aascent as business development manager for North and North West England. Bottoms, who will be based in Cheshire, has previously worked for Buckland, Capita, AXA, Independent and Royal.

Call Connection
Andrew Ward has been appointed business development manager at Call Connection, the call handling and transfer provider to the insurance sector. Ward joins from Yellow Pages. Technology

Intech Solutions
Intech Solutions, providers of integrated business solutions for the global insurance industry, has appointed Rebecca Mursell and Gary Goulthorp as business analysts within its solutions delivery team. Mursell has five years' general insurance market experience gained in the UK and in New Zealand and three years as a business analyst. Goulthorp has over 14 years' experience gained both in the general and London markets, and for the last seven years has been a business analyst.

Hitachi Capital
Hitachi Capital has appointed Angela Allison as public relations manager across the company's key business areas. Allison, who will be based at the firm's Hounslow head office, previously worked at Hilton International and Galileo.

Finsure
Finsure has appointed David Llewellyn and Nigel Johnstone as regional sales executives. Llewellyn will be responsible for North England and North Wales. He most recently worked for THB in commercial business development. Johnstone, who was previously field development underwriter at NIG Cardiff, will be responsible for South West England and South Wales.

BDML Connect
BDML Connect has appointed Alan Davies and David Seel as board directors. Davies has been the company's director of insurer relations since January 2004 and Seel is director of BDML subsidiary Thornside.

Mondial UK
Mondial UK has appointed healthcare specialist Stuart Peall as its new business development manager. Peall joins from human resource and employment benefits solutions provider youatwork.

Grant Thornton
Grant Thornton has appointed Angus Tucker as senior manager within its insurance claim solutions team. Tucker, who has 25 years' loss adjusting experience and is the honorary treasurer of Cila, first joined Grant Thornton in 2002 as director of business insurance consulting. INSURERS - EXTRA

HSB Engineering
HSB has appointed Gary Clare and Vaughan Homer as development executives at its Birmingham office. Clare, who joins from NU Engineering, will deal with both inspection and insurance and be responsible for development of the East Midlands region.
Homer will be responsible for the development of the West Midlands. He has wide engineering insurance and broking experience gained at Marsh and Aon.

Combined Insurance
Combined Insurance has relocated its southern divisional sales office to its Wheatfield Way headquarters. Seamus Fitzpatrick has been named vice president and divisional manager for the Southern UK accident and health division while Chris Buckley has been named divisional sales administration manager.

Bobbie Turton
Legal & General has appointed Bobbie Turton to its general insurance business as northern regional sales manager. Turton will be responsible for the broker sales teams in Northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Key aims of the role will be to enhance Legal & General's sales process and improve broker service. Turton has over 15 years' insurance experience in operational and sales management, gained at Provident Insurance and most recently Heath Lambert.

Peter Richmond, Legal & General's director of business development, said: "We are dedicated to improving the service offered to brokers. Bobbie's appointment, as well as strengthening the sales management team, will also enable us to take full advantage of future business opportunities."
