Heath Lambert recruits director for professional risks team
Heath Lambert Group has appointed Ian McMullan as director of Heath Lambert financial and professional risks.McMullan has joined the professional risks unit to lead a specialist retail servicing team focusing on the construction sector. He has 24 years of industry experience. He was previously a director with Aon, where he specialised in large UK retail professional indemnity (PI) business in the design and construction sectors. Prior to this he was with Willis and Minet in similar roles. The appointment follows a number of other senior appointments within Heath Lambert financial and professional risks. Colin Fox, also from Aon, joined as a director late last year, while Richard Evans joined the team in February as associate director. Both Fox and Evans will be working with McMullan on construction sector business. James Dandridge also joined the team as an associate director from HSBC Insurance Brokers. Deborah Lee has joined The Folgate Partnership as marketing communications manager. Lee has seven years of marketing communications experience. She has previously worked at GEC-Marconi and SITA. Miller Insurance Services has made a number of senior promotions. Xavier Villers, head of the marine unit, and Julian Taylor, head of the energy unit, have both become members of the board. SVB has appointed Jonathan Boyns as group claims director with responsibility for claims across the SVB group.Boyns has 25 years' experience in claims management, specialising in US casualty, professional indemnity, directors' and officers' and property claims. For 16 years he was a director of Denham Syndicate Management, a Lloyd's Managing Agency. In 2002 Boyns joined PRI (Professional Risks Insurance) as claims director, and more recently he has been an independent consultant working on claims and litigation projects in the UK and USA.Ecclesiastical Insurance

Zurich has made several new appointments to its broker team.Sean Clark has been appointed as area sales manager for the South East and London. Clark has 12 years' experience with the intermediary market and has most recently been responsible for marketing groups and networks.Mark Coffey has been promoted to regional manager covering the Northern region of the UK. Coffey has more than 20 years' experience working in the broker market in underwriting and broker development. Richard Wood, who joined Zurich in September 2003 as development manager for the South East, has now been promoted to regional manager for the same area. Davies Lavery has appointed Sally Chalmers and Simon Staples as partners to its accident and injury division. He specialises in workplace stress, industrial diseases, and health and safety prosecutions.
