Endsleigh InsuranceThe Claims Service, the outsourced claims solutions arm of Endsleigh Insurance, has made an appointment to its claims team in Burnley. Jonathan Hampshire, previously claims team leader at Provident Insurance, has been appointed as claims supervisor. Hampshire has 16 years' claims experience and will supervise a number of dedicated technical teams handling third party motor claims.

Bridge Insurance BrokersBridge Insurance Brokers has made two appointments to the business development team at its Manchester office.Paul Corcoran has joined as director of development, property unit, and will be responsible for developing new commercial property business and managing relationships with clients.Joanna Kennedy has been appointed as public relations and marketing manager. Kennedy was previously at Berrymans Lace Mawer and Independent Insurance.

SMg Risk SolutionsSMg Risk Solutions has appointed four new members of staff to its motor, homes and leisure division. Account handlers Anna Jeffery, Emma Jones, Rachel Cluer and Sarah Carter are all joining SMg's Leeds office.Jones worked for Royal & SunAlliance prior to joining SMg. Jeffery previously worked with Direct Line. Carter has 17 years of insurance experience, and has worked with brokers in Bradford, Bournemouth, and Poole. Cluer has seven years' experience with brokers Secure Direct and Collonade.

RK Harrison Insurance BrokersRK Harrison Insurance Brokers has appointed Philip Mitchell as account executive at its Chester office.Mitchell has 20 years' experience in property, IT and financial services. Mitchell has previously worked as the head of the property agency of a land agent and as associate director of business development for an investment management firm.At RK Harrison he is responsible for developing the rural element of the company's business.

Heath LambertTim Slater has joined Heath Lambert Group as marketing executive for the North West.Prior to joining Heath Lambert, Slater was business development manager for Weightman Vizard solicitor in Liverpool. He has also worked with a reinsurance consultancy in the City of London.

Misys CountrywideThe Misys Countrywide fleet team has made new appointments to expand the range of facilities offered from its new base in Worcester. Countrywide has appointed five new fleet sales technicians. Jamie Swindle and Susan Prosser have joined the company from brokers Clarke Roxburgh and Morrison Edwards. Fiona Brookes has joined Countrywide after working in insurance sales for a UK bank. Jeremy Soles ran his own broking firm and Cheryl Wise has experience as a fleet underwriter with Royal Insurance. Chris Hardiment has been promoted to team leader and Micheal Poole has been made assistant sales technician.

Medical Defence UnionThe Medical Defence Union (MDU) has appointed Jill Harding to head its claims handling team of 40 staff. Harding has more than 20 years' claims handling experience and has been at the MDU for the past nine years as a senior claims handler, and more recently as the claims operations manager. She specialises in medical negligence claims in the UK and Ireland and previously worked at The Prudential in professional indemnity and personal injury.

Towry LawAndy Dean has been appointed as healthcare director at Towry Law Group. Dean will have responsibility for the management of the healthcare division of Towry Law Insurance Brokers. Based in Bracknell, he will initially focus on growing the healthcare division by building on the existing skills and experience within the team to develop Towry Law's existing client base.Dean's previous roles include running a consultancy firm, senior vice president at Marsh & McLennan, and international sales manager at Cigna Employee Benefits.

Marsh & McLennanMarsh & McLennan has appointed a former US prosecutor to its board as an independent director, effective in May.Zachary Carter is a partner in law firm Dorsey Whitney. He was formerly US Attorney for the eastern district of New York.

AXAKeith Hector has been appointed national development manager, personal lines intermediary at AXA. Hector will assume responsibility for AXA's personal lines intermediary account manager team, reporting directly to Mike Keating, personal lines intermediary director.

Endurance Specialty InsuranceEndurance Specialty Insurance has appointed Daniel Izard to head its reinsurance operations. Izard will also continue to serve as executive vice president of the company's aerospace division. Lou Adanio, who most recently served as head of reinsurance operations, will now focus on the role of chief underwriting officer of Endurance Specialty Insurance.In his new role, Izard will be working with the property treaty and casualty treaty departments. He joined Endurance in 2002 from Associated Aviation Underwriters, where he was president and chief executive for 15 years. Izard spent five years as an officer in the US Air Force.

Ace EuropeAce Europe has appointed Stuart Kilpatrick to the newly created role of client relationship manager for its UK operations.Kilpatrick has joined Ace from Aon and was previously part of the global and risk management team at Royal & SunAlliance.

Hardy Underwriting GroupHardy Underwriting Group has appointed Barbara Thomas to its board as a non-executive director. Thomas is a lawyer, international banker and entrepreneur. She sits on a number of public company and other boards and was formerly a Commissioner of the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

AascentPremium finance company Aascent has appointed John Rusby as business development manager. Rusby has more than 25 years' experience in the insurance market, having worked for Provincial and AXA.

Alexander Samuel & Co.Alexander Samuel & Co. Solicitors has appointed Neil Beck to the position of chief executive.Beck has been with the company since its formation, previously holding the position of practice manager.

RubiconThe Rubicon Corporation, an insurance solutions provider, has appointed Lee Berry as group legal counsel. Berry joins the group from the in-house legal team at 3M, where he advised on a range of legal issues from corporate and commercial matters through to competition and employment law. Prior to that, he spent two and a half years at Lovells where he specialised in M&A work.

Concordia ConsultancyLawrence Nicholls has been appointed to the board as head of corporate development and finance at Concordia Consultancy. Nicholls has joined from the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. He has 20 years' experience in acquisitions and finance. Based in London he is responsible for supporting the development of Concordia operations globally.Roger McCorriston has also joined Concordia Consulting and will initially be involved with business and client integration as well as acquisition and corporate development strategy. McCorriston has joined Concordia from Royal & SunAlliance.

FirstAssistMedical services company FirstAssist has appointed James Kenrick as its corporate business manager.Kenrick has more than 20 years' experience in private medical insurance. His previous positions include sales roles at Bupa, ten years as sales director at Cigna, and most recently as joint managing director of Jelf Corporate Healthcare. As corporate business manager at FirstAssist, Kenrick's role is to deliver new business sales generated from companies employing over 1,000 staff through employee benefit and insurance intermediaries and human resources consultancies.

Heath Lambert ConsultingHeath Lambert Consulting has appointed Scott Middleton as a corporate consultant focusing on new business in Scotland. Middleton has joined Heath Lambert's Northern corporate pensions and employee benefits team in Aberdeen. Middleton has gained financial services experience from previous roles with Scottish Widows, H&R Life and Pensions and Chase de Vere.

JunctionBarbara Porritt has joined Junction, the affinity arm of the Budget Group of Companies, as senior sales manager at its contact centre in Sunderland. Porritt previously worked for Churchill as senior sales manager at its contact centres in Teesside and Nottingham. Prior to this she held a number of roles within various divisions of American Express.
