His specialities include industrial and commercial property and business interruption claims, oil, gas and chemical risks, machinery breakdown and losses involving electrical generation.Price joined Cunningham Lindsey in 1994. His background is in construction and engineering claims.The company has appointed the following as directors: Hugh Gallagher (Bogotá); Marcus Gresham (London); Richard Gross (Mexico City); David Needham (Kuala Lumpur); Rob Powell (New York); Hugh Sparks (London); Sharron Tredgold (London); and Mike Wellsted (Hong Kong).

Brokers

Towry LawTowry Law Insurance Brokers has recruited two team members to its specialist credit and political risk insurance division.Ian Crossen has joined Towry Law from Marsh's specialist credit division and Samantha Yates comes from a background in credit management, having previously worked at solicitors Hammond Suddard's.Crossen has more than 30 years' experience of credit insurance from Marsh, Sedgwick and ECGD. Based in Towry Law's Manchester offices, he is responsible for new business in the North West of England. Yates will work from Leeds, providing advice and support to new and existing clients.

BIBBIB Darlington has appointed two new employees to its commercial insurance team.Helen Blenkinsopp has joined BIB from Gale & Phillipson Insurance Brokers in Northallerton. Sandra Hart has joined from Abacus Insurance in Middlesbrough. Deacon InsuranceSpecialist property broker Deacon Insurance has appointed Allan Tyler as technical commercial manager. In his new role, Tyler works with Deacon's technical team to develop its commercial account. He is also involved in training and auditing functions. He has 20 years' industry experience.

ZurichZurich has appointed Andy Baughan as underwriting director for its UK personal insurance business. Baughan most recently worked as personal lines group underwriting director for Churchill.

ChubbChubb Insurance has appointed Kevin Docherty and Geoff Wilkinson to its London cargo underwriting team.Kevin Docherty has more than 20 years' marine cargo experience. He started his career at Royal Insurance and then moved to Eagle Star, where he led the UK cargo team. Most recently he was senior production underwriter (cargo) for CNA Insurance. Geoff Wilkinson has more than 15 years' marine cargo experience. He began his career at Sun Alliance as a cargo claims clerk. He spent five years at Commercial Union as the senior underwriting assistant (cargo) before joining Royal and SunAlliance in 1998 as senior cargo underwriter. He has left GoshawK Syndicate 102 to join Chubb and will be based at Lloyd's.

PI DirectPI Direct has appointed Adrian Searle to the newly-created position of finance manager and company secretary.Searle takes responsibility for compliance for Magian Mutual, the insurer of IFAs managed by PI Direct.He has previously worked at Berisford International, as group financial controller; MDA Computer Group, as financial director and company secretary; Prime Selection; and, most recently, Lazy Software, as chief financial officer and company secretary.

Technology

Software SolutionsDavid Waring has joined Software Solutions Partners as head of corporate sales. Waring has worked with EPG Insurance Systems and Rebus IS. At Software Solutions, he is responsible for the company's corporate revenues and for sales of the INSIGHT insurance administration platform.Michelle Rasche has joined Software Solutions as corporate sales support consultant. Peter Menhinick has moved from corporate partnerships to corporate sales, in a new role as senior sales support consultant.

KeoghsKeoghs has appointed two solicitors to its specialist claims unit, which focuses on identifying insurance fraud.Charlotte Farrell has joined Keoghs from Hill Dickinson in Liverpool. She has also spent time at Sheffield City Council, where she dealt with educational negligence and employers' and public liability claims.Miles Hepworth has joined Keoghs from Lancashire County Council. Prior to that he worked at Hill Dickinson. He has experience of defending insurance claims arising from employers' liability, public liability and road traffic accidents.

PRMPRM (Public Risk Management) has appointed risk management specialist Karen Dodds as a senior consultant.Dodds has worked in the industry for 14 years. Prior to joining PRM, she spent nine years at Aon. Most recently, she was a director in the consulting division, leading the enterprise risk management team for the public sector.

Criterion Loss AdjustersPhilip Austin joins Criterion Chartered Loss Adjusters on 1 March 2004.Austin was formerly a director of GAB Robins' fine arts and high net worth division and is a fellow of the National Association of Auctioneers and Valuers. As well as having spent time as an auctioneer and valuer, Austin has 15 years' experience as a loss adjuster, dealing with all aspects of high net worth, antiques and fine art and historic building claims.

Insurance Services OfficeInsurance Services Office (ISO), a provider of personal injury claims and anti-fraud insurance services, has appointed Joe Pendle as director of client services.Pendle has more than 20 years of claims handling and management experience and has joined ISO from the Motor Insurers' Bureau, where he was group operations manager. He has also worked in claims handling at Endsleigh, AGF Insurance, Shead Motor Policies and Allstate Insurance Company. Pendle heads up ISO's European client services division.
