NEW LAW FIRM
Martin Cunningham Solicitors

Nine months after withdrawing from the legal scene to enjoy retirement from his career as a criminal defence lawyer, Manchester solicitor Martin Cunningham is back in practice - this time in partnership with Judith Naylor. She has nine years' specialist experience of defending serious crime and fraud.

Before retiring, Cunningham was the senior partner at Cunninghams Solicitors, the firm he founded in 1985.

The new firm is known as Martin Cunningham Solicitors. It will specialise in high-cost fraud and serious crime cases and is already recognised by the Legal Services Commission and has been granted a place on the specialist fraud panel.


NFU Mutual
Leigh Shackleton has been appointed assistant general manager (general insurance) at NFU Mutual.

He moves to the insurer's headquarters from East Anglia where he currently holds the post of regional manager (East).

He has worked for NFU Mutual for over 20 years, initially at its headquarters in Tiddington, Stratford-upon-Avon and, more recently, in Norwich.

Fusion
Fusion Insurance has appointed Graeme Sutton to the newly created role marketing manager.

Sutton joined Fusion from Cox Insurance where he was head of group marketing. He has 15 years' experience of marketing within the insurance market.

Loss Recovery Group
Natasha Boyne and Emma Rose join LRG's regional sales support team.

Boyne will provide sales support for LRG 's southern region.

She joins LRG from HMB Insurance Brokers. Previously, she worked for Royal & SunAlliance in Birmingham.

Emma Rose will provide sales support for LRG's Midlands region.

She has held a number of sales support positions primarily for Getty Images and Cygnet Properties and Leisure.

Letsure
Residential lettings insurance and risk specialist Letsure has appointed Shaune Worrall as head of development for financial institutions.

Worrall was previously a member of the Maidenhead based company's project management team.

Monument UK
Michael Bullock has joined Monument UK to head up the broker's structured products division.

His former roles include directorships of Chesterfield Insurance Brokers, of the non-marine division of JK Buckenham and of Fenchurch International.

Folgate Partnership
Katrona Tyrrell has joined the Folgate Partnership to head up its HR function.

She brings with her a wealth of experience in managing the people issues associated with multiple site set-ups.

Gale & Phillipson Group
Yorkshire-based insurance broker Gale & Phillipson Group has strengthened its team with the appointment of two new executives.

Linda Davy joins the company in a new post as claims manager and Pamela Brown has been appointed as marketing co-ordinator.

Davy has 17 years' experience in the insurance industry, initially working in claims broking before moving into loss adjusting.

Brown will provide a focal point for co-ordinating the company's new business strategy. Her background of 14 years working with insurance brokers in Glasgow will enable her to provide informed and professional support to colleagues across the group.

Perception
The new West Midlands based legal expenses provider Perception, a subsidiary of Blakemores Solicitors, has appointed Russell Bence as business development manager.

He previously held business development roles within Auto Indemnity and premium finance provider Finsure.

DLA
International law firm DLA has appointed Sarah Hill into the fraud team in DLA's insurance group.

Hill is based in DLA's Birmingham office and will be working closely with Jamie Taylor, head of the insurance claims fraud unit.

She is a qualified solicitor and was previously a team leader within the fraud unit at Keoghs Solicitors.

Lorraine Madden joins as a solicitor in DLA's insurance group.

Madden is based in DLA's Birmingham office working closely with Matthew Hirst, head of the professional indemnity team.

Arup Security Consulting
Prominent security expert and former director of worldwide R&D security for GlaxoSmithKline Geoff Whitfield is joining Arup Security Consulting.

Whitfield specialises in corporate security.

Autoglass
Vehicle glass repair and replacement specialist Autoglass has appointed Simon Edwards as corporate marketing manager.

Edwards brings a wealth of experience to Autoglass, having worked most recently as brand manager for Zanussi, part of Electrolux .

Whitespace Software
Software provider Whitespace Software has appointed Adrian O'Garan as marketing executive after four years' experience of marketing ERP, CRM and associated enterprise-wide software solutions to the financial services sector.

O'Garan will promote key areas of the business including web services, rate engine technology and bespoke broker solutions.

Law firm Morgan Cole appoints four partners

Morgan Cole has appointed four new partners from within the firm.

Eve Piffaretti leads the firm's health and social care practice. She is the associate editor of Sweet and Maxwell's Encyclopaedia of Social Services and Child Care Law and edits Current Law Week. Piffaretti is a member of the Wales Medico-Legal Society, the Oxford Medico-Legal Society and the Institute for Welsh Affairs.

Claire Rawle is a specialist advocate and practises within the field of regulatory law. Rawle has a national licensing practice advising independent and national operators in all aspects of liquor licensing and betting and gaming.

Nick Richards has spent the past 20 years doing defendant personal injury work, specialising in rehabilitation, head injury and high value employer and public liability and road traffic accident cases. He has also dealt with European cases involving the impact of EU Directives.

Anthony Smith specialises in high value head injury and fatal accident claims as well as employers' and public liability and property damage claims. He is also an accredited CEDR mediator and has dealt with a number of mediations ranging from product liability issues to landlord and tenant disputes.
