Standard Life Healthcare has appointed Iain McMillan as sales and marketing director. He joined the company in 1995 as intermediary sales consultant for Scotland, after working as commercial insurance manager at EH Ranson Insurance Brokers.

John Harrop has been promoted to the role of director, Pinnacle Warranty Services (PWS).
Harrop brings 20 years' experience of finance and insurance business development to PWS; he joined Hertfordshire-based insurer Pinnacle in 1993.
Fusion Insurance announces two new appointments:
Keith Jackson is appointed as executive manager for Scotland. He joins from Hiscox Insurance where he was manager, Scotland. Jackson has 16 years' insurance industry experience and is MSTI qualified.
Neil Clayton is appointed as regional sales manager in Leeds. He was previously managing director of Wilby Insurance Brokers in Halifax. Clayton has 14 years' insurance industry experience.
Duncan Carter has been appointed as branch manager at Allianz Cornhill's Bristol branch. He has been Allianz Cornhill small business manager since 2001. He has 12 years' experience in financial services including life insurance, general broking and general insurance, and joined Cornhill in July 1996.
Steve Scott has been appointed as key account manager - north, within Allianz Cornhill's national panel operations. He has been with Allianz Cornhill for 18 months, having previously worked for Independent Insurance and Norwich Union.
Jenny Masterman has been appointed claims manager at Allianz Cornhill's Leeds branch. She has 20 years' industry experience and was previously with Norwich Union where her last role was claims manager, technical.
Travellers Protection Services
Travellers Protection Services has appointed David Burke as network manager, taking responsibility for all IT matters.
He joins from the University of East Anglia, where he was the IT adviser to the school of economics and social studies.
Contractsure, the specialist construction insurance division of Henderson Insurance, has promoted Daniel Williams to associate director.
Williams will provide the necessary management support to Contractsure managing director Jenny Porter.
Deacon Insurance Services
Specialist property intermediary Deacon Insurance Services (Deacon) has appointed David Truman as business development manager. Joining from Folgate Insurance, Truman will be responsible for developing business from Deacon's existing UK clients across the UK.
Truman has 25 years' experience working in insurance companies across the UK.

Bray Wintour Patis has appointed Gaynor McAlister as assistant director and has promoted David Green to divisional director.
Michael Bray is stepping up to become chief executive and John Meredith moves up to become managing director.
Goshawk Insurance has appointed Ryan Mather as non-marine property reinsurance underwriter at Goshawk Reinsurance (Goshawk Re), its Bermuda-based reinsurance subsidiary.
He joins Goshawk from Gerling Global Reinsurance where he was a property reinsurance underwriter. He began his career at Eagle Star Reinsurance where he was an underwriting assistant before moving to Goshawk's wholly-owned Syndicate 102 at Lloyd's. He then progressed to Chartwell Advisers in 1995 as an analyst, before moving to Chartwell Reinsurance as a treaty reinsurance underwriter.
Manchester-based law firm James Chapman has made four appointments to its personal injury team.
Ziana Hassan, Samantha Knowles and Alexandra Monro join as assistant solicitors and Stephen Cole joins as legal executive.

Axiom Claims Consulting (Axiom) has appointed Vince P Wooding as its new chief executive officer. He will report to Michael Stephens, who continues as chairman until his anticipated retirement in 2003.

Sue Bulmer will be responsible for South Wales and the South West. She joins from loss adjuster Miller Fisher.
Gareth Terry will cover the North East. He joins from Accident Support where he was responsible for the development of the North and North East. He has also worked for ITT Edinburgh and Norwich Union.

Arup Security Consulting has appointed of Christopher Elliott as a security strategist.
Elliott, formerly with the Ministry of Defence working with both the UN and Nato, will provide advice on terrorist threats and on the design of counter terrorist measures. He will also carry out vulnerability surveys of existing buildings and sites to assess their resilience to potential terrorist attacks.
