St Paul International has promoted Peter Hunt to the new position of risk management services manager.

Hunt, who will be responsible for the day to day operational effectiveness of the risk management team, joined St Paul in 1997 having previously worked for Zurich, Aegon and Eagle Star.

NIG has appointed Stephen Albutt as business manager for the Peterborough commercial insurance centre. He has more than 20 years' experience in the industry.

David Fielding joins as business manager for the Birmingham commercial insurance centre. He has more than 25 years' industry experience.

Nigel Law has been appointed business manager for the Manchester commercial insurance centre. He has more than 30 years' experience and joins from Norwich Union (NU), where he was regional manager for the North East.

Royal & SunAlliance
Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has appointed Pat White and Vic Noble to management positions within its newly-formed loss adjusting services operation.

White will manage the personal lines side of the loss adjusting service and Noble the commercial lines, servicing two distinctive market segments, but operating as one combined business.

White has 17 years' experience with R&SA. He became a member of the CAS team in 1988 and was appointed CAS regional manager in 1997. Noble set up PCS in 1997 after more than 20 years' experience in the industry and became operations director in 2000.


Towry Law
Towry Law Insurance Brokers has appointed four new healthcare consultants covering Bracknell, Birmingham and Glasgow.

Michael Cooke has been appointed as principal healthcare consultant to the Bracknell office. Kaveeta Russell also joins the Bracknell office as senior healthcare consultant for East Anglia.

Nageeen Maqbool joins as consultant at the Glasgow office.

Andrew Symington has been appointed as principal consultant and will head up the Birmingham-based healthcare section.

Hill House Hammond
Andrew Perry has been appointed as regional manager for Northern England and Scotland to be based at the Oakwood branch. He joins from Budget Insurance where he was regional manager and has more than 20 years' experience gained at Sun Alliance, Bartlett Insurance Brokers and Barclays Insurance.

Jonathan Ballin has been appointed as finance director and will be based at the Bristol headquarters. He joins from CGNU where he was finance director.

Garth Bearman has been appointed as non-executive chairman.

He is the founder of Lloyd's broker and financial services group Swire Fraser. He has been elected to the Lloyd's Insurance Broker Committee.

Roger Hymas has been appointed as a non-executive director. He is managing director at Health Care Navigator, a company he set up in 2000.

Fabien Risk Services
Fabien Risk Services has appointed Tony Barker as director of broking for professional indemnity, general liability and directors' and officers' liability. He has 20 years' experience in underwriting professional indemnity insurance in the Lloyd's and Company Markets


Antony Hodari
Gillian Cox, Gerry Halon and Tim Johnson have been appointed partners at Antony Hodari. Cox and Halon have been at the firm for eight years and Johnson for two. All are based in the multi-track section of the professional indemnity department.


Hazell Carr
Hazell Carr is promoting six of its current senior management to its board of directors. The new directors are Darryl Boulton,

Nigel Burton, Kenneth Donaldson, Adam Galache-Brown, Andy Lawrence and Colin Redman.


Commerzbank Securities
Commerzbank Securities has appointed Roman Cizdyn as senior insurance analyst joining Chris Hitchings and Andrew Goodwin, Insurance Equity Research at Commerzbank Securities.

Cizdyn joins from Merrill Lynch where he was senior insurance analyst specialising in the UK and Ireland.

Jane Noble has been appointed as team manager from the North East for the moisture control services division.

She joins from Capita McLarens where she was a claims adviser. Previously, she worked for the former Commercial Union and Royal Insurance companies.

ULR announces management changes.

Alan Macalister is scaling down his day to day UK involvement and handing that over to the two men he has groomed to succeed him: Nigel Sayer and Robert Kay.

Sayer, who has been director with particular responsibility for sales and marketing, is promoted to chief executive.

Kay, the operations director whose responsibilities include information technology, communications and internal company management, has been appointed managing director.

Macalister becomes chairman and will develop ULR's overseas operations.
