Online agency for small businesses, Startups.co.uk, has announced it will support the government's decision to review the business support services provided by the Department of Trade of Industry.
Marcus Austin, editor-in-chief of Startups.co.uk, said: "The Government decision to shake-up business support has long been awaited by anyone who has had to deal with the various different guises of government scheme.
"The current system of support for startups and small business involves far too much replication and repetition of core services and information.
"The average person starting-up in business just doesn't know what to do first, or more importantly, where to go for help and advice.
"The Government needs to show that if they want to make Britain the best place in the world to start a new business then the have to make sure there's no waste in the way they finance business support.
"The money freed up by this shake-up, needs to go towards giving businesses the in-depth, no-nonsense, no-strings impartial advice that they need, rather than the biased, inadequate, contradictory and impossible to understand information they currently get."
