Broker Network chairman Grant Ellis is joining the committee of The Prince’s Trust Insurance Leadership Group.
Ellis will help lead the youth charity’s group, which brings together leaders and companies from the insurance sector to raise funds through subscription packages and fundraising activities.
The Trust’s Insurance Leadership Group offers its 31-strong membership networking opportunities whilst making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people across the UK.
Ellis said: "With youth unemployment high and the jobs market uncertain, there has never been a better time to help young people into work.
"Furthermore, the recent riots have left communities torn apart with insurers facing a huge responsibility to react quickly and sympathetically. It makes more sense than ever for us as an industry to be supporting vulnerable young people living in some of the country’s most deprived areas, giving them access to wider opportunities and helping to prevent them from resorting to criminal activity."
He added: "I am passionately committed to growing membership of the ILG because it truly is a win win opportunity.
"Not only does it offer an innovative way for the insurance sector to fulfill important corporate social responsibility objectives, but members benefit from significant networking opportunities with government, industry peers and potential customers."
