Maurice 'Hank' Greenberg has resigned as non-executive chairman of Transatlantic Holdings.
The former AIG chairman has stood down from the post as investigators begin to probe the relationship between AIG and its reinsurance subsidiary Transatlantic Holdings.
Former AIG chief financial officer Howard Smith has also resigned from the company along with Edward Matthews.
