Groupama announced today the appointment of Pierre Lefèvre as Chairman and CEO of its UK subsidiary. His appointment is effective immediately, subject to FSA approval.
He will be responsible for the UK group's strategic direction, and liaison with Groupama in France.
Lefèvre joins Groupama from AXA where he has worked for 18 years, most recently as chairman of the executive board of AXA Netherlands BV. He was previously chairman and CEO of AXA's UK branch until 1997.
International director of Groupama Michel Beauchesne said the group was delighted Lefèvre is joining.
"This is an exciting and challenging period in the development of our operations in the UK and his substantial experience and expertise will add a valuable new dimension to the leadership of the group," he said.
