Tony Lancaster, chief executive of Groupama, has called for brokers to join the Policyholders' Protection Board (PPB) and the body that will supplant it later this year when new Financial Services Authority rules come into play.
Speaking at the CII conference in Edinburgh, Lancaster told the 700 delegates that brokers must take more responsibility and that insurers should not be left to carry the can.
