Groupama Insurances has joined forces with U-plex, the UK subsidiary of leading international e-commerce company Plexus International.

The exclusive deal allows Groupama to make use of U-plex's claims information network, fraud detection system and club shopper product, which were developed in Australia.

The claims information network is an internet application that will assist Groupama in replacing or reinstating goods via multiple retailers.

The club shopper product is a derivative of the claims information network software, and allows easy access to a wide range of retail goods for members of targeted affinity groups.

U-plex has also developed fraud detection software, using expert systems and neural network technologies.

Tim Ablett, managing director of Groupama personal insurances, said: “As a major personal lines insurer

with growing connections with large affinity groups and other corporate partners, it also allows us a tremendous opportunity to control our costs, while at the same time enhancing the service and benefits available to our policyholders.”


The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
