Six rail managers have been charged with manslaughter over the Hatfield crash, reports the Evening Standard.
Four people died and 70 were injured in the disaster in October 2000.
Network Rail and contractors Balfour Beatty were charged with corporate manslaughter.
It is the first time that individuals or companies have been charged with manslaughter following a rail crash.
