Halifax Bank of Scotland Group (HBOS) has appointed reinsurance intermediary, Guy Carpenter, as its household reinsurance broker in a three-year deal.
The company, which has had a working relationship with Halifax for the last seven years, provides specialised reinsurance services to clients worldwide.
Guy Carpenter forged its links with HBOS as part of an arrangement with Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA).
The announcement follows the news that R&SA has been replaced by HBOS subsidiary St Andrew's as underwriter for the household account.
HBOS General Insurance CEO Howard Posner said: "This appointment recognises the strong working relationship developed over the years by the teams, building on Guy Carpenter's knowledge of the HBOS household business and their specialist reinsurance skills and experience."
