Motor insurer Link has commenced an early intervention rehabilitation pilot with Health & Case Management (HMCL).
The pilot is aimed at reducing claims costs and duration following acute injury, HCML said.
Arranged by Link's third party adjuster, Rubicon, the pilot uses HCML's acute injury management service (AIMS) to assess injuries on day one and organize a rehabilitation plan.
HCML's managing director Helen Merfield said early intervention in cases where people are injured following motor accidents would have a dramatic effect on the settlement cost of the claim and the outcome for the injured party.
