Leading safety organisations have urged the government to reform the way in which insurers provide employers' liability (EL) insurance.
An alliance between The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA), the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the British Safety Council (BSC), is pressing for improved links between health and safety managers and the insurers.
The alliance is demanding that the Department of Work & Pensions' (DWP) EL review publishes a green paper to move the debate on.
The alliance told InsuranceTimes.co.uk that its long-term plan is to encourage insurers' to link premiums with the implementation of revised health and safety plans.
