Broker only motor insurer Highway has struck a deal with insurE-com to add its Choice EDI private car product to the intermediary portal.
The new service, which is due to go live to insurE-com intermediaries in the autumn, aims to cut costs for brokers through the use of full cycle electronic trading.
Highway also hopes to increase the level of business it transacts electronically by the end of the year.
Highway director of underwriting, Chris Hill, said: "Our new agreement with insurE-com confirms our commitment to removing these transactional costs while providing intermediaries with the fast and competitive EDI based services they need to fend off the direct writers."
insurE-com director of business development Dan Francis said: "Highway's decision to add its private car product to the insurE-com portal is good news for intermediaries using our back office business solutions.
"The addition of Highway's latest motor product demonstrates that insurE-com has the continued confidence of the primary industry players and we look forward to developing more products with them in the forthcoming months."
