Motor insurer Highway has allocated £114m of its reserves to fund manager, Investec Asset Management.
The mandate comprises two portfolios representing corporate capital and Highways's syndicate funds.
Highway finance director Ian Patrick said: "Highway Insurance's investment funds are increasing and today amount to £290m.
"By appointing Investec we expect that their top quartile performance will allow Highway to continue its track record of successful fund management."
