Highway Insurance Holdings has signed a £1m IT outsourcing deal.CGI has been appointed to fully manage Highway's
IT infrastructure and desktop environment for 600 users across six locations nationwide.
Highway has relocated its NT-based financial and terminal servers, which provide access to print, email, database and application services, along with six staff, to CGI's Basingstoke datacentre.
Highway IT director Peter Fraser said: "The datacentre is manned 24 hours a day and we can rest assured that any failures, in both hardware and software, will be dealt with promptly and professionally."
Highway implemented CGI's insurance administration system, Global Insurance Open Solutions (GIOS), last year.
