Insurer Highway has upgraded its Motorcycle Choice policy to provide extra insurance cover for motorcycle owners riding in the UK and Europe.

From 1 September, Highway's broker only Motorcycle Choice policy will include:
protected no claims discount (NCD);
free Green Card for riding up to 30 days in Europe; and
cover provided for riding other motorcycles, if the policy holder is over 21 years of age and if the motorcycle insured with Highway is over 350cc

Chris Hill, the underwriting director of Highway, said: "By working closely with our brokers we have identified increasing demand for both cover when riding other machines and for foreign use.

"Highway Motorcycle Choice now includes these additional features to keep motorcycle owners legally covered and allow brokers to keep the direct writers at bay."

Highway Motorcycle Choice is available through all software houses and will be available on a full cycle EDI basis in the first quarter of 2004. Commission is 10% and the maximum vehicle value limit is £6000 for both comprehensive and third party fire and theft covers.
