Hiscox has appointed PI Direct to undertake the claims handling and litigation on part of its book.
PI Direct's model centres on using in-house specialist solicitors, legal executives and claims handlers to settle claims.
PI Direct and Hiscox have worked together closely since 2003.
To meet the Law Society's requirements regarding in-house solicitors, PI Direct has assisted in the creation of Martello Legal as a separate independent law firm which will handle the litigation and legal advice on claims handling.
