Hiscox has revealed the gross premium income from its Lloyd's syndicate 33 for 2002 will exceed capacity.
The group said gross premium income at Syndicate 33 will exceed the £504m capacity for 2002 and the surplus has been reinsured through qualifying quota share reinsurance arrangements.
Bronek Masojada, Hiscox's chief executive, said: "The 2002 forecast result for Syndicate 33 reflects the exceptional market conditions, good underwriting and the positive impact of the qualifying quota shares supporting the Syndicate. Current trading conditions remain strong across the group."
