Hiscox Insurance has announced it will provide capacity for the Saturn Underwriting Agency.
The move is designed to help it dominate the professions sector.
The new deal will provide additional underwriting
capacity from the 1 October 2002, alongside the existing capacity provided by MMA Insurance.
Hiscox added that they are keen to add the professional insurance portfolio product to Saturn's future developments.
Hiscox Insurance managing director Sian Fisher said: "Our deal with Saturn opens up another good distribution system that directly reaches our target market. There is currently very little overlap between our two networks and we are keen to work with Saturn to increase our collective customer base."
Saturn Professional Risks executive director Mike Cant said: "We at Saturn are very excited with the new relationship. The additional capacity and intellectual property that HIC will provide enables Saturn to offer the best professional indemnity solutions to its brokers, while continuing their programme of expansion."
