J R Clare Underwriting Agencies has poached two senior high net worth underwriters from Brit.
Paul Wareham and David Terrett were described by sources as two of the most senior underwriters in Brit's high net worth division.
A spokesman for JR Clare confirmed that Wareham had already joined the company and that Terrett would be starting once his period of gardening leave had ended.
A spokesman for Brit said: "Two underwriters involved in the underwriting of the high net worth account will leave Brit. We remain committed to this class and supporting our brokers."
