Homeowners should do more too keep an accurate record of their home contents to avoid being under-insured. That's the advice from firm MyHomeInventory.
Homeowners should do more too keep an accurate record of their home contents to avoid being under-insured. That's the advice from inventory firm, MyHomeInventory.
The company is to launch a new product at next week's Ideal Homes Exhibition that enables the user to make an inventory of all their possessions complete with replacement costs.
Sales Director Steve Read said: "It is important that people take control of their insurance cover. Our research tells us that very few people have any idea of the sheer number of possessions they have acquired, or what they are worth.
"Most people don't even know what their total contents are insured for. On that basis alone, it isn't surprising that, perhaps 5 out of 10 of us are under-insured. What we have developed here is a powerful and user-friendly system that takes the pain out of writing an inventory."
