Vehicle information specialist HPI has relaunched its vehicle check enquiry service, HPI Check, as the first step in a £4m investment programme.

HPI chief executive Martin Rowley said: "We have brought all the key pieces of information about a vehicle together in a single service.

"This ensures that our customers will know the full status of a vehicle, even if they are not sure what questions to ask.

"We've also harnessed the graphical capabilities of the internet to make the enquiry process more transparent and simpler to use than ever before."

HPI Check is used by motor retailers or companies with financial interests in motor vehicles. It gives buyers instant confirmation of a vehicle's description as well as its financial, accident and mileage history.

HPI's database has over 60 million vehicle descriptions and histories. The company also uses the National Mileage Register (NMR), which has over 50 million mileage readings.

HPI Check is available HPI's dedictated contact centre in Salisbury or through the internet.
