Leading broker HSBC Select UK is two weeks from launching Otto Direct, a new consumer and corporate web site.

Bob Bright, managing director of the operation, said: "The site is there for as many people as use our products. It will be for consumers but will also support our clients who have branded products. It will be fully interactive.

"Initially, the site will only cover new business. Renewals will come, but first we need to make sure that everything is perfect."

Motor and household will be first on-line, followed closely by travel. The site provides quotes from a panel of 15 insurers.
