Structural damage caused by Hurricane Kenna has been "surprisingly light", according to loss adjusters Cunningham Lyndsey.

Despite widespread flooding by rain and sea surge, the damage caused by the hurricane was limited. Interruption to utilities services occurred in certain areas, with both
telephones and electricity supplies sustaining losses with
poles/towers being brought down by the hurricane.

Cunningham Lindsey have been appointed as loss adjusters for the Puerta Vallarta area hit by the storms. The company has drafted in additional staff from other offices in the region to cope with the workload, it said.

The main focus of the damage was sustained in Puerta Vallarta. The main highway to Puerta Vallarta was closed during Friday morning while the local hospital became the local emergency centre for the storm.
