AIRMIC (the Association of Insurance and Risk Managers) conference organisers have decided not to worry about the World Cup disrupting this year's conference in June - instead joining in by running their own World Cup competition.
AIRMIC is teaming up with sponsors AXA Corporate Solutions to run the AIRMIC World Cup Challenge.
Conference delegates will be invited to take part in the competition, in which they will win points for predicting the winners and runners-up in each World Cup Group, and subsequent knockout matches through to the final.
AIRMIC Executive director David Gamble said: "I'm sure much of the nation will be gripped with World Cup expectancy during June but fortunately the England matches do not clash with our conference dates. So delegates will be able to concentrate on improving their own `results' by getting the most out of their attendance at conference.
"And, if they enter our Challenge, they may become a World Cup winner as well." said
All predictions have to be submitted by May 24. For more information visit the website (www.airmic.com).
