Illium syndicate 4040 has announced the launch of a dedicated underwriting operation in northern England.
The regional service company, Illium Insurance Services Limited (IISL) is being driven by Newcastle-based liability underwriter Julian Goodall.
IISL will offer Illium Syndicate 4040's employers' liability, public and products liability, and contractors' all risks insurance products, said the syndicate.
The branch will focus on serving the regional offices of national brokers, it said.
